Former Auburn Football Coach Bryan Harsin’s Daughter Defends Him & Calls Tigers’ Eugene Asante A Liar

The animosity between Auburn football supporters and disgraced former head coach Bryan Harsin will never go away. Not until the Boise native and his family stop agitating Tiger supporters, who, admittedly, throw his name into the fire first anytime a player performs under new head coach Hugh Freeze after never doing so under Harsin.

Harsin’s career at Auburn was doomed from the start. Boosters didn’t want him to be hired in the first place, which boded poorly for his career if he didn’t win right away — which he didn’t.

After his first season on the show, a fabricated rumor about improper relationships spread like wildfire, and Harsin struggled to find his footing in year two. The relationship was eventually ruined beyond repair, and he was sacked midway through his second season after finishing 3-5.

Eugene Asante recorded 12 tackles and a sack in a 14-10 victory over Cal on September 9 at California Memorial Stadium. After the game, Asante stated that he was on Harsin’s reconnaissance team. Dayn Harsin, one of Bryan’s children, responded on Instagram, alleging that Asante had begged to be on the scout team.

On Saturday, Auburn linebacker Eugene Asante had a monster day against Cal. After the game, the junior stated that his stint on the scout team under Harsin last autumn inspired him.

Asante’s words were clarified by Dayn, who termed him a liar. She alleges he requested her father to play on the scout team and that he agreed.

The latter days of Harsin’s tenure were poisonous, but the light is beaming on the Plains despite Auburn football’s deep Freeze. Hugh Freeze’s entrance has provided the Tigers with an elusive non-conference road victory on the West Coast, while Ron Roberts’ appointment as defensive coordinator has completely rebuilt an AU unit that had been less smashmouth in prior seasons since Kevin Steele’s departure.
