FedEx Field Ran Out Of Water During Commanders Vs Giants Game

Even though the Washington Commanders are now owned by a different company, their FedEx Field structural problems still exist.

FedEx Field Ran Out Of Water During Commanders Vs Giants Game

Soon after the Washington Commanders were defeated 31-19 by the New York Giants on Sunday afternoon, the teams cleaned up in their separate locker rooms and left. But as soon as they arrived, they discovered that the showers weren’t operating correctly.

The Giants’ locker room was the source of claims that the water pressure was low for the cold water, despite the team’s official statement that there was no hot water available for showers in either locker room.

Here are the comments provided by a Commanders representative on the unusual issue.

“We had an equipment failure in the main water heater that provides hot water to the field-level locker rooms,” the statement read. “We can’t resolve the matter without completely shutting off the water to the stadium, which is why it couldn’t be repaired in game.”

Given how poorly the Commanders have performed in polls about their management of the players’ travel rights, locker room, and training area, it really comes as no surprise.

Players that are commanders shouldn’t have too many problems with this. They could just go home and take a shower there, even if it would be inconvenient. But the Giants players had to decide between taking a chilly, feeble shower and taking a disgusting ride back to New York.

The Giants are lucky to have at least secured the victory.

There have been a number of noteworthy problems at the Commanders’ stadium recently. Last year during a game, a metal fence collapsed, sending many spectators to the ground, nearly landing on top of Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts. A stadium pipe ruptured in 2021, causing water to be dumped all on the spectators. It was rainfall, the team said.
