Fantasy “Shot In The Dark” Player To Take A Chance On
every year, there seems to be one players who goes un-drafted in fantasy leagues and ends up being super productive, here are a couple of candidates you may want to take a chance on during the first work of free agency:
1.) Justyn Ross
One player in the Chiefs camp that has been so dominate is former Clemson WR, Justyn Ross. Ross was an undrafted WR in the 2022 NFL Draft class and has played zero career games. But With a limited supply of superstar WRs in Kansas City, this team could be looking for someone to lead this room. Ross has looked on fire during the chiefs camp, his connection with star QB, Patrick Mahomes has been on point. Ross looks like a solid route runner, and is lengthy with solid hands. It Will be interesting to see how he develops farther throughout the whole process of training camp and pre-season. He is due for some pre-season game reps and if he ends up making the 53 man roster i wouldn’t be shocked if he turns out to be a role player for the Chiefs in 2023. There really is no elite pass catchers on this team aside from Kelce so expect to see the WR rotation very volatile and targets to be split among the entire WR room.

If Ross ends up being productive through the first 3 weeks or so, make sure you grab him in free agency.
2.) Micheal Mayer
Throughout the entire draft process Micheal Mayer was being hyped up to be one of the next best TEs in the entire league. But since he has been drafted to the raiders, we’ve heard very little about his situation in Vegas. The Raiders offense had a whole when Waller was traded to the Giants, its no secret how productive Waller was in Vegas, and with a similar skillset there is no reason Mayer won’t also be productive. Mayer is going in the last 3 rounds or so in fantasy drafts but you may be able to get him as a un-drafted free agent, take a chance of this man as you will be able to get him for a small amount of fantasy cash.
3.) Isaiah Hodgins
Hodgins is being hyped up by almost every single giants fan as he really started to breakout towards the end of last season. The WRs in New York really aren’t anything special but Hodgins is probably the best of the bunch. Last year Hodgins reeled in 33 passes for 351 yards and 4 touchdowns. He and Daniel Jones were really clicking in the post season fight. I expect a similar level of production in 2023.
.@Giants take the lead on the Daniel Jones to Isaiah Hodgins TD!
