Fantasy Football Mock Draft: 10 Man PPR From The 1.06

I had one of my favorite mock draft just recently and it is possibly a league winner, here it is:

1.06 (6th Overall): Tyreek Hill

I was very happy to walk out of the first round with Tyreek Hill. The talk he has had this offseason about potential finishing with 2000+ WR yards just seems too good to pass up on. Last year Tyreek finished as the WR2 with unsteady QB when Tua was out, i am vey high on Tyreek this year and i think he can finish as the WR1 in fantasy this year and getting him with the 6th overall pick seems like a steal to me when he has this type of upside to his name. Some players I passed on was Travis Kelce and Bijan Robinson. I passed on Robinson because I am a huge fan of the zero RB method through the first 2 rounds in 2023 and it seems to risky to take a rookie within the first round. I passed on Travis Kelce because even though it is almost guaranteed that Kelce will finish as a top 3 TE I am playing a bit more riskier with the upside that Hill has.

2.05 (15th overall): Davante Adams

Adams was the 8th WR to come of the board in this draft, and the 4th after I selected Hill. I chose Adams because the value was there, Adams’s ADP is WR8, which is exactly where he came off the board, however, last year Adams finished as the WR3 in fantasy so how did 5 WRs leapfrog him. Most people seem to think that the Raiders down graded at QB from Derek Carr to Jimmy G, but i beg to differ. I think Garoppolo offers steadier and more consistent QB play that Carr did, if Jacobs sits out at RB, then this offense will be centered around Adams and he will be another player with potential to finish at the WR1 in fantasy, although his ADP lines up with where I took him, I believe i got an absolute steal snagging him in the 2nd round.

3.06 (26th overall): Rhamondre Stevenson 4.05 (35th overall): Travis Etienne

These rounds are where I made my pivot away from the zero RB method, secured both of my starting running backs in rounds 3 and 4 where I selected Rhamondre Stevenson and Travis Etienne. Both of these guys have lower ceiling but also high flowers so they won’t be complete bust. They where the 2 best running backs available at the time and i was able to walk away with both of them. A couple of RBs I passed on are, Josh Jacobs, and Breece Hall. I passed on Jacobs for the obvious reason there is a potential of him sitting out for the season and I passed on Hall because he is coming of a severe injury and won’t be getting the heavy work load now that Rodgers in in town, making the Jets a pass first offense. There ADP lines up exactly where I able to draft both of these players.

5.06 (46th overall): Justin Herbert

I would usually be an advocate for taking a QB like Geno Smith or Jared Goff in a later round but I see so much potential with Herbert, I couldn’t pass up on him. Herbert is surrounded my a serious supply of weapons, between “receiving-back” Austin Ekeler, Keenan Allen, Mike Williams and Quentin Johnston, there is potential Herbert can finish as the QB1 in fantasy as he is getting some of the early MVP bets from the bookies. Herbert finished as the QB11 last year, but that was partially due to a lot of his star WRs going down, I see a massive bounce back year for Herbert in 2023.

6.05 (55th overall:) D’Andre Swift

last year Miles Sanders rushed for over 1200+ yards with the Eagles, now that he is gone and Swift is in I can see Swift doing the exact same thing. The Eagles O-line is no joke the best in the NFL and if D’Andre Swift can stay healthy all year I believe he can do better than what Sanders did.

7.06 (66th overall): Chris Godwin 8.05 (75th overall): Evan Engram

Although Baker Mayfield is Godwin’s QB in 2023, the production will still be there for him and I am glad I was able to grab him in the 7th round, as for Evan Engram he is one of my favorite TEs this year and he was the TE6 last year. This year he got a massive extension the Jaguars didn’t pay him all that money to do nothing, i still see him being highly productive in 2023 and once again finishing within the top 6 TEs.

Now that all of my starters are filled out lets review the bench players I selected and the Kicker/Defense:

9th round: RB Rashaad Penny
Stacking both Eagles RBs

10th round: QB Tua Tagovailoa
a Solid backup for my team

11th round: WR Juju Smith-Schuster
got big payday from the Patriots in the off-season he should be productive

12th round: WR Odell Beckham Jr.
WR1 on the Ravens great pick for the 12th round

13th round: RB Elijah Mitchell

14th round: TE Micheal Mayer
a great TE who is going to be the replacement for Darren Waller, TE1 for the Raiders

15th round: Steelers Defense
So many stars on the defense they should be able to put up some fantasy points

16th round: K Jake Moody
Moody was a kicker drafted in the 3rd round of this years draft. Kickers are rarley drafted that early and if they are, they must be good
