The first game week of the 2022 NFL season is in the book and if the first game week is anything to go by, fans are in for an extremely exciting season this year. The Buffalo Bills are the favorites going into this season and showed exactly why that is the case by defeating the defending champions in the opening games.

Other teams such as the Bucs led by Brady, the Chiefs led by Mahomes, and a few other teams as well put on impressive performances and secured wins in the opening game week. As we prepare for game week two, we take a look at defensive players who scored the most fantasy points and who they’re facing next so that you can make an informed decision as to whether or not to get them in.

Micah Parsons is in the second year of his rookie contract with the Dallas Cowboys. Parsons had a stellar rookie season and has picked up right where he left off last season. Parsons recorded five tackles, including two sacks, as his team succumbed to a loss against the Buccaneers. Parsons scored 16.34 fantasy points in the opening game week and is set to face the Cincinnati Bengals in game week two of the 2022 NFL season.

Oluokun is a linebacker for the Jacksonville Jaguars. The Nigerian-born featured in the Jaguars’ loss against the Washington Commanders. The Yale alumni clocked up ten tackles, of which six were solos and four assists on his way to score 14.84 fantasy points for his team managers. The Jaguars face the Indianapolis Colts next weekend.
Jordyn Brooks

Brooks featured in the Seattle Seahawks’ opening day win over the newly acquired Denver Broncos. Brooks had 12 tackles, of which ten were solos and two assists in a razor-thin win over the Broncos. In the process, Brooks scored 14.4 fantasy points for his team managers. The Seahawks take on the 49ers this coming Sunday.

Campbell featured in the Packers’ opening day defeat to the Vikings. Rodgers and his men were ripped to shreds by the Vikings, who ended the game 23-7. De’Vondre Campbell had 11 tackles in the game, of which five were solos and six assists. Campbell scored 14.21 points for his team managers and the Packers are set to face the Bears this Sunday in the second game week of the 2022 NFL season.

Leonard Williams featured in the Giants’ opening game week win over the Titans. Williams recorded five tackles in the game and secured 14.08 fantasy points for his team managers. The Giants take on the Panthers in game week two of the 2022 NFL season.
