Ex-NFL Scott Mitchell Isn’t Very Sure About Jets New QB Aaron Rodgers: ‘Overrated And Washed Up’

Since the notion of Aaron Rodgers joining the New York Jets was initially brought up a long time ago, many people have had lot to say about it.

Ex-NFL Scott Mitchell Isn’t Very Sure About Jets New QB Aaron Rodgers: ‘Overrated And Washed Up’

Perhaps no one has criticized Aaron Rodgers and the Jets more harshly and brutally than former NFL quarterback Scott Mitchell. This week, Mitchell, who is a co-host of the KSL Sports “Unrivaled” podcast, discussed the former Green Bay Packers quarterback. Alex Kirry, the co-host, questioned Mitchell on the likelihood that Rodgers would lead the Jets to the Super Bowl.

“Aaron Rodgers may be overrated and washed up,” Mitchell told Kirry. “He’s going to get washed up with the Jets.”

When Kirry enquired about the likelihood that Rodgers would lead the Jets to the Super Bowl, Mitchell said, “12%.”

“I don’t believe he’s going to get them to the Super Bowl,” Mitchell added. “He couldn’t get the Packers to the Super Bowl.”

When Kirry pointed out that Rodgers won a Super Bowl, Mitchell quickly responded, “A long, long, long, long, long time ago; think of all the (playoff) games that they had at home, like four. At Lambeau Field, you don’t lose (playoff) games.

Mitchell ended with a vicious jab.

“Aaron Rodgers may be overrated and washed up,” he said. “He’s going to get washed up with the Jets.”

Rodgers’ statistics from the previous season are by no means eye-catching, but he will now be aiming his passes at receivers that NFL fans have actually heard of. The four-time league MVP has outside weapons and a strong defense, which should make his job as the starting quarterback as simple as it was in 2010, when he guided the Packers to the Super Bowl.

Although Rodgers didn’t appear to have much left in the tank, he didn’t appear to be the guy that won back-to-back MVP awards during the 2022 season either.
