Eli Manning With Peyton & Jerome Bettis Come Up With Ghostbusters Skit!

Jerome Bettis joined Peyton and Eli Manning for a humorous parody of the iconic “Ghostbusters” film!

Another sneak glimpse at the Halloween special Peyton & Eli’s Spooky Adventure, in which NFL luminaries Peyton Manning, Eli Manning, and Jerome Bettis transform into Ghostbusters!

Today’s feature, which Peyton Manning’s Omaha Productions posted, shows us the Hall of Fame trio busting ghosts, being slimed, and even driving the classic Ecto-1.

This Sunday, October 23, ESPN+ will air a Ghostbusters-inspired, football-focused special. According to the episode’s description:

“Coach Marcus Freeman enlists Peyton, Eli Manning, and Jerome Bettis on a ghost-busting Halloween escapade after two Irish football players claim to have seen the spirit of Notre Dame’s most illustrious player.”

Details Of The Spooky Spoof By Eli Manning!

In a hilarious Ghostbusters parody, they made their absolute best impressions of Egon, Ray, Winston, and Peter visiting The Bus’ alma mater, the University of Notre Dame, in quest of a ghost!

In a special Halloween episode of Peyton’s Place and Eli’s Place on ESPN+ (produced by Omaha Productions), the three NFL icons teamed up. They took on the roles of parapsychologists from the iconic ghost-hunting film and travelled to South Bend, Indiana, in search of George Gipp’s ghost.

Between 1917 and 1920, Gipp played running back for the ND team under Knute Rockne. Although you might not be familiar with the name “George Gipp,” you have probably heard the expression “win one for the Gipper.” Gipper George is his name.

GG famously told his coach to use this remark to inspire the players while he was ill and on his deathbed in 1925.

“Rock, I’ve got to go. Everything is fine. I have no fear. When things are bad, and the breaks are winning over the guys, Rock would occasionally beg them to give it their best and win just one game for the Gipper. Rock, I’m not sure where I’ll be at that time. But I’ll be aware of it, and I’ll be content.”

In the spoof, Peyton, Eli, and Jerome drive the Ectomobile used by the Ghostbusters to get to college while wearing the recognisable jumpsuits from the franchise.

At first, Bettis didn’t like the outfit, but Eli Manning had a humorous retort for the former Notre Dame standout.

“What?!” Did you imagine we’d be sporting a crop top or something? Eli Manning asked.

Peyton also makes fun of Eli’s departure from the ManningCast, saying that Bill Murray, who portrayed Dr Peter Venkman in the Ghostbusters films, took Eli’s place.

The complete program airs early on Sunday!
