Dwyane Wade’s Wife Gabrielle Union’s Bedtime Ritual With Daughter Leaves Her in Tears

NBA legend Dwyane Wade’s wife, Gabrielle Union, is no stranger to the topic of maintaining optimism while pursuing her own dreams. The actress discussed following fitness trends, her personal wellness regimen, and how her daughter Kaavia’s nighttime ritual helps her decompress after a difficult day in a recent conversation.

The 51-year-old is an avid supporter of affirmations, having encountered many challenges in the early years of her Hollywood career.

Her daughter, who is five years old, has also been taught by her. With Marie Claire, in a talk, This is free and we do it every night with our daughter Kaavia at bedtime. We do daily affirmations,” Union told Marie Claire. Although there has been a slight change in her affirmations routine, the core of it remains the same. She said, “We used to use cards, but now we all make up our own.”

Union is actually really pleased with how well her daughter is noticing details like these. She claimed that Kaavia had given their daily affirmations her own unique twist, and it was rather effective. “There’s one Kaavia wrote herself that says: I am blessed. She makes us hold it together and say it in unison, while she holds the three of our hands together.”

Union is impressed by it even if she is unsure of where Kaavia learned it; it has now become a custom between them. Says she, “I don’t know where my kid came from, but that’s her thing. We just remind ourselves of our own strengths in various ways.”

She emphasized the significance of these affirmations in her life by stating that, on sometimes, she finds that this practice helps her forget about a difficult day. Union declared, “Sometimes at the end of the night when you haven’t had the best day, these affirmations make me cry.“

A crucial element of these therapy sessions has been acceptance. The mother-daughter pair shared a photo from one of these seasons on Instagram back in April 2023. The lesson was quite easy to understand. Both of them loved and accepted what would normally be considered their “imperfections” when they looked in the mirror at their own reflections. Look at this family-friendly video.

Union’s family continues to be the center of her life, despite all of her other professional responsibilities. She develops a spiritual relationship with her family, which is why these routines and rituals are so important. “Getting to do it with my daughter, my husband, and usually my sister just gives me that little oomph to recenter.” the woman remarked. While toddler Kaavia depends on her mother to provide guidance, Union views her 16-year-old daughter as a lifelong friend who goes beyond traditional family responsibilities.
