Downfall Of Brooklyn Nets Shows Steve Nash Is On The Verge Of Being Fired

The Brooklyn Nets organisation needs to comply with Kevin Durant’s demands this summer and fire head coach Steve Nash because the team’s season is already out of control.

The Nets are a mess right now; there is no other way to phrase it. The controversy that caused the club to be eliminated in the previous season’s first round of the playoffs followed them into the off-season. As Kyrie Irving pursued a sizable contract hike despite earning a drop following his anti-vaccine attitude that severely harmed the team chemistry last season, Durant twice asked for a trade.

Brooklyn’s season has started out horribly, even with all the good vibes from training camp, patched-up relationships, and the acquisition of a “healthy” Ben Simmons. The team is 1-5 and is tied for dead last with the rebuilding Orlando Magic for the worst record in the Eastern Conference.

The Nets have not performed well thus far, and Steve Nash’s position is in jeopardy because of this.

The Nets brass must take immediate action to resolve this nightmare of a scenario, and while general manager Sean Marks should share some of the blame for putting together this toxic combination, firing head coach Steve Nash is the only decisive step the franchise can take.

What’s Steve Nash’s Say On This Situation?

“That was a disaster. I didn’t see the will, didn’t see the desire,” Steve Nash said after the game.

“We’ve got to look deep, deep inside ourselves and what we want to do, what we want to accomplish.

“Do we want to give up on this because it’s been difficult early, or do we want to stay the course and start to build something?”

This summer laid bare the issues the team’s top stars have with Nash. Rumours circulated that Durant requested the dismissal of both Nash and Marks, and Irving was also said to be unimpressed with the young head coach. The locker room will suffer greatly if the head coach cannot convince his star players to buy in.

However, there were obvious indications that Nash was having trouble controlling this bunch even last season. The locker room chemistry was affected by the Irving issue, and he allowed it to deteriorate to the point where James Harden requested to leave New York.
