“Don’t Think Anybody’s Playing at Their Best”: Warriors GM Bob Myers Plucks Out Two Player While Assessing the Team’s Performances
After defeating the Cleveland Cavaliers 106-101 on Friday night at Chase Center, the Golden State Warriors now have their first winning streak of the year. The Dubs earned their finest victory of the year by defeating one of the league’s top clubs in a thrilling and very entertaining encounter. The Warriors won the title in June thanks to tough and focused play from every player on the roster, setting up Curry to lead the team to victory in Boston.
Curry’s season is exactly the same as last, but not for the rest of the flimsy and shaky Warriors, who urgently needed the victory against Sacramento at Chase Center to snap a five-game losing run and improve to 4-7 overall.

As a result, their title defense hasn’t gotten off to the greatest of starts, and general manager Bob Myers acknowledged that some players still need to become better.
“I don’t think anybody’s playing at their best, maybe besides Steph Curry, while Draymond Green has been pretty good,” Myers told The Athletic.
“But everybody else has a lot more upside than they’ve shown, whether it’s the bench or [Jordan] Poole or obviously Klay [Thompson] is going to be better.”

The Warriors’ alarming 4-7 start has been largely attributed to the youth. Particularly in the second unit, James Wiseman and Jonathan Kuminga have failed to recover from sluggish beginnings.
Despite the team’s early-season struggles, Myers has great faith in coach Steve Kerr and is certain things will improve in time for the playoffs. After defeating the Cavaliers, the Golden State Warriors will try to generate some momentum against the Sacramento Kings on Sunday.
