“Don’t Give a Damn” – NBA Analyst Stephen A Smith Lays Bare His Thoughts on Shannon Sharpe’s Bail on Skip Bayless Over Damar Hamlin Tweet
Skip Bayless’ divisive remark on Damar Hamlin, a safety for the Buffalo Bills, created an uproar. In fact, things became so ugly that Bayless’ co-host on Fox Sports’ “Undisputed” skipped the next day’s broadcast. Shannon Sharpe didn’t do this the previous week. After Skip Bayless’ co-host made a dubious tweet shortly after the Damar Hamlin incident, everyone seemed to have an opinion on Shannon Sharpe ghosting Skip Bayless on “Undisputed” the next morning.
Sharpe was not to be found the next morning on FS1’s Undisputed after Skip Bayless received considerable criticism for a badly timed tweet following Buffalo Bills defender Damar Hamlin’s cardiac collapse during Monday Night Football.
Stephen A Smith gives his take on Shannon Sharpe and Skip Bayless feud
“That’s your chair. You don’t give it up for nobody,” Smith told Draymond Green on his podcast. “That’s yours. I don’t give a damn if you were in the chair and had nothing to say and you just wanted Skip to talk. You don’t miss sitting in that chair.”
No doubt the NFL is considering postponing the rest of this game – but how? This late in the season, a game of this magnitude is crucial to the regular-season outcome … which suddenly seems so irrelevant.

“There’s an audience out there that expected to see you. But I understood him, like every single NFL player present and former that I’ve spoken to, heart was in the right place, going through a lot.”

Smith seemed to be more upset with Sharpe’s absence from his work than Bayless or his tweet. He has spent years sitting across from Skip Bayless, so he is familiar with what it’s like to do so. However, Smith felt that Bayless’ absence just fueled the flames. Bayless insensitively questioned how the NFL could halt a game that would have affected the playoffs given that Hamlin’s condition was unclear at the time. Sharpe joined the majority of Americans in criticizing Bayless’ post, which led him to decide not to watch Undisputed the next morning.
