‘Dominick ‘Snooze,’ Get in Back of the Line!’- Henry Cejudo Takes No Prisoners In Verbal Tirade Against Dominick Cruz

Former UFC two-division champion Henry Cejudo spoke up on his podcast platform and went in on rival Dominick Cruz. Both men faced each other back at UFC 249 in May 2020 and Henry Cejudo secured the win via TKO by landing an elevated blow to Cruz’s jaw.

While ‘The Dominator’ pushed back against the stoppage, many felt that Henry Cejudo had put forth a decisive performance to close out the show. Since then, Dominick Cruz has been vying for a shot against Henry Cejudo as he believes their first outing resulted in a fluke victory for ‘Triple C’.

Henry Cejudo sounds off on Dominick Cruz

Henry Cejudo didn’t hold back when talked about his first fight against Cruz and called for his rival to ‘get in back of the line’. He revealed that he was looking for someone that was capable of lasting another round with him and it’s clear he doesn’t believe that Cruz fits that bill in any way.

“Dominick ‘Snooze’ – he had his opportunity. He couldn’t make it past two rounds with me,” Cejudo said on ‘Triple C and the Schmo Show’ “It was ridiculous. I got rid of him. That’s why I dedicated ‘Technique of the Week’ and got over 130,000 views off of it because it shows that not only did I knock him out (and showed diversity) with my knee, but also I knocked him out so much – I mean, I hurt him so bad that I literally woke him up.”

“So Dominick ‘Snooze,’ get in back of the line. I gave you an opportunity the first time. You couldn’t get it done. You couldn’t last no more than two rounds. I want somebody that’s capable of at least lasting another round with me.” [h/t mmajunkie.com]

Henry Cejudo has made it known that he wants a title shot upon his UFC return and he’s targeting featherweight champion Alexander Volkanovski. Getting a third UFC belt would be historic and Henry Cejudo would arguably become one of the most impactful names in the history of the sport.

However, his long-time rival in Dominick Cruz is sure to make sure he puts a dent in Cejudo’s plans.
