Dolphins’ Tyreek Hill wins 60-meter race at USA Track and Field Masters Indoor Championships

Tyreek Hill of the Miami Dolphins won a 60-meter sprint in Louisville on Saturday, crushing his four opponents.

The wide receiver, who ran track at Oklahoma State, is renowned for his quickness on the football field.

In the off-season, Tyreek Hill made the decision to challenge himself by competing in the USATF Masters Indoor Championships, which he easily won.

Tyreek Hill, an All-Pro wide receiver for the Miami Dolphins, won the age 25-29 category of the 60-meter sprint at the USA Track and Field Indoor Championships on Saturday by finishing in 6.70 seconds. Hill’s first competition since clocking a 6.64 in the 60 meters in 2014.

 

“Never racing again had me out there looking wild,” the All-Pro receiver tweeted afterward.

Tyreek Hill, a native of Douglas, Georgia, was a talented track athlete in high school before deciding to pursue a career in football. Since then, he has developed into one of the NFL’s quickest and most productive receivers of the last 10 years. On Saturday, Hill demonstrated his speed and track prowess to the fullest in what will probably be a one-time appearance in track and field competition.

The pinnacle of Tyreek Hill’s track career occurred in 2012, when he represented Team USA in the 4×100 men’s relay and took home a gold medal. In the 200m, Tyreek Hill also took up an individual bronze.

After being traded from the Kansas City Chiefs to the Miami Dolphins in 2022, Hill continued to be one of the league’s top wide receivers. His speed has subsequently evolved into the most dangerous aspect of his wide receiving game. Hill set a career best with 119 catches for 1,710 yards and seven touchdowns, and was named to the First Team of the Pro Bowl for his performance.
