Dolphins’ QB Tua Tagovailoa Actually Took The Advice & Is Bulking Up Day By Day

Former quarterback Michael Vick, a dual-threat offensive weapon who took a lot of hits, gave starter Tua Tagovailoa of the Miami Dolphins some advice last week on Tagovailoa’s concerning injury history.

Dolphins’ QB Tua Tagovailoa Actually Took The Advice & Is Bulking Up Day By Day

As the team’s QB Tagovailoa passed for a career-high in yards (3,548) and touchdowns (25) as the team advanced to the postseason.

The fact that Tagovailoa missed a total of five starts this season made many wonder about his football future.

The 2022 NFL season was a rollercoaster for Tagovailoa. Although his efforts assisted the Dolphins in earning a playoff place, he was unable to contribute because of two real concussions.

Tagovailoa has been working out and attending judo courses in order to get ready for the next season, despite already seeming noticeably bigger than he did last year.

“I just think he’s got to bulk up a little bit,” Vick said about Tagovailoa during a recent appearance on the “It Needed To Be Said” podcast hosted by Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill, per Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk. “Get a little bit bigger. Get stronger. As you grow into your man body, that’s what needs to happen. Ain’t nothing wrong with picking up another  10 pounds, 15 pounds. Don’t get hit. Don’t get knocked around.”

Seems like Tagovailoa actually took the advice and now he also has a tattoo!

When the Miami Dolphins’ minicamp came to an end in June, the starting quarterback’s right shoulder was inked.

The tattoo on the 25-year-old quarterback’s right arm, which honors his Polynesian heritage, looks to have been extended during the football season’s off-season.

Tagovailoa’s tattoo has reached his right wrist, according to a glimpse taken from one of his most recent social media photos. He has either finished or is currently working on a sleeve.

Tua has obviously worked hard to get stronger physically. He practised jiu-jitsu during the off-season “to learn how to fall” in a way that would help him prevent head injuries in the future. He also wore a newly created helmet during spring sessions that was intended to lessen concussions.

Tagovailoa has become thick.

He has thick calf muscles. He has a thick neck. His shoulders are bigger, and the weight growth isn’t a dad bod developing from the weight rise.

The aim for 2023 is for the NFL’s top-rated quarterback from 2022 to be huge and in control, placing him in position to demonstrate his maturity for a complete season. He has been purposeful about his strength increases and constructing a larger frame, a stronger neck and core to do this.
