Does Cowboys DE Micah Parsons Not Believes In Jalen Hurts MVP?

Although Jalen Hurts is the frontrunner to win NFL MVP, not everyone is in awe of what he has accomplished so far this season. Dallas Cowboys edge rusher Micah Parsons publicly questioned how much credit the Eagles quarterback gets for Philadelphia’s success when speaking on The Voncast with Von Miller.

Philadelphia became the first team to book its spot in the playoffs as it steamrolled to a 48-22 victory over the New York Giants Sunday.

Hurts threw for two touchdowns and ran for another as the NFL-best Eagles’ offense continued to prove unstoppable amid their 12-1 season. The quarterback has excelled throughout the season, becoming the first quarterback in NFL history to record double-digit rushing touchdowns in back-to-back seasons, the first player in NFL history with 12 wins, 30-plus total touchdowns and five or fewer turnovers in the first 13 games of a season.

Micah Parsons Salty Watching Jalen Hurts Get So much Credit For The Eagles Success

PARSONS: Is it Hurts or the team?

MILLER: I think it’s a little bit of both, man.

PARSONS: (laughing) It’s system and team!

MILLER: I think it’s a little bit of both, man. Because they got a great offensive line, which helps Hurts. Hurts has A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith. They had a good running game.

The phrase “more than one thing can be true” is used frequently in this area. Hurts has a fantastic support system with the Eagles. However, he has also made the most of the resources at his disposal. With four games remaining, including a crucial one against the Cowboys in Week 16, he is currently the legitimate MVP.

As you may remember, Hurts’ performance this year has been downplayed by more Cowboys players than just Parsons. “All you need to write is he hasn’t played the Cowboys yet, so we don’t know how good he is,” DeMarcus Lawrence remarked back in October.

Hurts went on to defeat the Cowboys by two possessions while completing 60% of his throws for 155 yards, 2 touchdowns, 0 interceptions, and a passer rating of 104.6. On the ground, he added another 27 yards. Lawrence’s skepticism did not, therefore, hold up over time.
