The visiting Los Angeles Chargers were beaten 23–20 by Jonathan Owens and the Green Bay Packers, but there was a point when his critics made fun of both Owens and his spouse, Simone Biles.

Despite The Win Jonathan Owens’s Wife Was Targeted By Fans: “Gotta be embarrassed”

Notwithstanding the victory, there was a noteworthy incident in which supporters began to pick apart Owens after undrafted tight end Stone Smartt scored a 51-yard touchdown against him.

After the play, Simone Biles, the wife of Owens, who was at the game, was criticized by the audience.

Starting tight end Gerald Everett was out due to a chest ailment, so Stone Smartt, an undrafted sophomore, was added to the active squad. He made an instant impression by bouncing off Owens and allowing Justin Herbert to score a 51-yard touchdown.

As soon as it happened, supporters started after Biles, who was once more spotted supporting the former Houston Texans safety in the stands:

A fan wrote, “Your husband sucks,” on X.

“If I were Simone Biles, I’d be on the phone to a divorce lawyer after watching that tackle attempt,” someone else said following the previously stated play.

“Simone Biles gotta be embarrassed after that sorry attempt of a tackle,” another person wrote.

For a brief while, the Chargers led 10-7 in a close game. On the Chargers’ last drive, Kenny Clark’s interception of Justin Herbert’s fourth-down ball proved to be the game-winning play.

Though head coach Matt LaFleur subsequently allayed initial fears of an ACL injury, Packers running back Aaron Jones seemed to damage his knee, perhaps costing the team the victory.

At first, there was concern about an ACL injury, but head coach Matt LaFleur provided better news:

“I don’t think it’s long-term. Certainly, I think it really looked bad. I was really concerned just seeing it live. I didn’t see a replay or anything, but seeing it live it did not look good. But he’s in good spirits in there and so, hopefully, it’s just a short-term deal.”

Romeo Doubs gave the Packers their last lead after that score gave the Chargers a 10-7 lead in a thrilling shootout.
