DeShaun Watson Has Upset Browns’ Fans And They Will Not Forgive Him. Know The Whole Story
One of the most talked-about trades of the 2022 offseason was the one that sent DeShaun Watson to the Cleveland Browns. Fans and the team had anticipated that the veteran quarterback would help them reach the postseason and beyond, but all they saw of him was a happy smile on Saturday alongside the opposition.

When Watson was a player for the Houston Texans two seasons prior, the front staff of the Browns made great efforts to acquire him. Cleveland forfeited three first-round, one third-round, and two fourth-round picks in exchange for the signal-caller.
The Texans got guard Kenyion Greene, defensive back Dameon Pierce, and linebacker Will Anderson Jr. in 2022 and 2023 as a result of the successful transaction.

Although they both missed the 2023 campaign due to injuries, the first two enjoyed successful rookie seasons. Rather, Anderson Jr. made an immediate impression and is a strong contender for Defensive Rookie of the Year.

Thanks to the Browns’ picks, Watson’s replacement, CJ Stroud, did not arrive, but he certainly succeeded in making Houston fans forget about DeShaun. After his first year, the rookie already has the same number of postseason victories as his predecessor in seven years, thanks to an outstanding campaign.
The treachery of Watson

DeShaun eventually made his way back to NRG Stadium, his old playground, on Saturday to take on his old colleagues in the Wild Card Super Round. The outcome was a shocking 45-14 loss that ended the Browns’ hopes of making it to the postseason.
Due to a shoulder injury, Watson was forced to watch the game from the sidelines. His veteran replacement, Joe Flacco, was also unable to return the pigskin due to the bitter cold in Houston. An unexpected gesture from Watson that many fans will never forgive him added to the devastating setback.
Watson was photographed grinning at the end of the game, but Cleveland fans may not be that kind of him. The wound had just recently healed.
On social media, a fan asked, “Why is Deshaun Watson smiling like he just won with the Texans?” He wasn’t the only one.
“I know I haven’t seen Watson smiling after our season just ended. Right?,” a different netizen inquired.

But the animosity was just getting started: “I never want to see Watson play for this team again. What is he doing? What a terrible leader.”
Another fan remarked, “Deshaun Watson’s dusty *ss has no business smiling out on that field right now.”
