DeMar DeRozan Is in Red-Hot Form Right Now- Can He Power the Bulls to a Championship?

The Chicago Bulls find themselves second on the table in the eastern conference. The Bulls have a record of 39 wins and 22 losses this season. DeMar DeRozan has played an extremely crucial role in where the Bulls find themselves today. DeRozan is without a doubt one of the best players in the league at the moment. He is in strong contention for an MVP award this year as well.

DeRozan has proven extremely effective towards the tail end of matches. He has, on multiple occasions, secured a win during the final quarter of the game. The Bull have faced a number of injuries this season to key players. However, DeRozan has been able to maintain his fitness and contribute to the majority of the success of his team.

Can DeMar DeRozan power the Bulls to their first championship since 1998?

DeRozan recently broke Wilt Chamberlain’s record 59-year-old record by becoming the first person in the league to score 35 or more points and shoot 50% or better in 7 straight games, he then further extended that to eight games with a brilliant performance as the Bull secured a win over the Atlanta Hawks.

DeRozan is the only person other than Michael Jordan in the Bull’s top five for the longest streak with 35+ point games. Additionally, DeRozan is shooting roughly 55 percent from the field and 42 percent from behind the arc in fourth quarters this season.

DeRozan is among the elites this season when it comes to points per game. He currently averages 28.3 points per game, which is the third-most in the league at the moment right behind Joel Embiid and LeBron James.

The Bulls have struggled to assemble a team capable of fighting for the championship for a long time now. DeRozan and his team have a good shot at glory this year but it will not be a cakewalk by any means given the competition they’re up against. However if DeRozan is able to stay fit, and the likes of Lonzo Ball, Alex Caruso return from injury the Bulls will be a force to be reckoned with.
