David Beckham Calls Out Wife Victoria For Calling Herself As A Part Of Working Class: “Be honest”

David Beckham and his wife Victoria Beckham, nicknamed Posh Spice, both give their separate perspectives of their love story in “Beckham,” a new Netflix docuseries detailing the famed footballer’s life and career. However, one specific interview with Victoria prompted David to intervene and clarify the truth.

David Beckham Calls Out Wife Victoria For Calling Herself As A Part Of Working Class: “Be honest”

David and Victoria met during a football match in 1997 and were quickly branded Posh and Becks by the British press. Brooklyn, Romeo, Cruz, and Harper are the couple’s four children, born in 1999.

In the first episode of the series, Victoria explains her attraction to David, saying, “I think also we both come from families that work really hard.” Our parents both work extremely hard, and we are definitely working-class.”

David then walks in from the other room and forcefully instructs Victoria, “Be honest!”

“I’m being truthful,” she says. “What car did your dad drive you to school in?” David responds.

Despite Victoria’s protests that “it’s not a simple answer” and “it depends,” David persists, and she ultimately relents, confessing, “OK, in the ’80s, my dad had a Rolls Royce.”

“Beckham” director Fisher Stevens told Variety that he spent nearly 30 hours interviewing David Beckham for the docuseries, and 14 hours with Victoria. All of their time with the pair resulted in some amusing on-screen banter, which was, of course, captured on tape.

Of course, the Beckhams are now parents to four children, and the entire family supported their father at the debut of the docuseries this week.

Victoria Adams, who was born in 1974 in Essex, England, is the daughter of Jackie and Anthony Adams. She rose to prominence after joining the Spice Girls in 1994. Her father worked as an electronics engineer and transported her to school in a Rolls Royce, according to the BBC.
