Dan Quinn Speaks On Cowboys’ Blowout Loss To 49ers

Many have termed the Cowboys’ defeat disgraceful, and naturally, the Cowboys are defending themselves and saying they’re focused on improving and moving on from their poor performance in Week 5.

much with the defeat to the Arizona Cardinals, it’s safe to presume this game damaged the squad much more, considering it’s the team’s third consecutive loss to the 49ers, with the previous two knocking them out of the playoffs.

This was meant to be the Cowboys’ opportunity to establish they were real contenders while also demonstrating that they could compete with any team in the NFL in any scenario. Instead, since the loss, Dallas has become a punchline for experts, media, and fans alike.

Dan Quinn, the defensive coordinator for the Cowboys, watched his team allow more points against the 49ers than it had in the previous four weeks combined. A drop of this magnitude must make the coach unhappy.

Quinn summarized his feelings on the game by saying, “I’m bummed.”

He went on to suggest that teams may approach a defeat like this one in a variety of ways. He wants to make certain that his group does not linger.

“You get your ass kicked, you only have a couple choices in the fight,” Quinn said. “You can pout about it or get back up and get rocking again. And I certainly know that’s what we’re gonna do.”

The Cowboys will have a chance to “get back up and rocking” on “Monday Night Football” in Week 6 when they face the Los Angeles Chargers.

“Extremely disappointed, but I also know what we’re made of, and we’re not gonna let this game beat us twice,” Quinn was quoted as saying.

“We’ve got a very good Chargers team on the way, and we’ve got plenty of things to work out to get rocking again,” Quinn said. “So, yeah, we’re bummed. We wanted a really good kick-ass performance for our guys, but it didn’t go that way.”

It’s not only really well-spoken, but it’s also critical that the Cowboys follow through on Quinn’s message. They have three challenging games ahead of them, starting on the road against the 2-2 Los Angeles Chargers, who are coming off a bye and have won their previous two games.

This is followed by a game against the Los Angeles Rams, who are 2-3 but may have played the hardest schedule in the NFL thus far and pushed Dallas’ greatest opponent to a tight finish.
