Damar Hamlin Issues a Statement for the First Time Since the Near-Death Incident That Shook the NFL World

In what will go down as one of the scariest moments in the NFL, Damar Hamlin collapsed on the field moments after tackling a Cincinnati Bengals player. This incident took place during the week 17 regular season game between the Buffalo Bills and the Cincinnati Bengals. As soon as Hamlin hit the ground, he was immediately given CPR by the team’s physician, which dramatically helped his chances of survival. 

The game was suspended following the incident and since then, Damar Hamlin has been the focal point of the NFL community. Fans of the Bills as well as other teams have been tracking his health since the incident took place. While such cases can be life-threatening as well, Hamlin has shown tremendous recovery according to the doctors at the University of Cincinnati Health facility. Needless to say, the Buffalo Bills, their fans, and the wide NFL community are all rooting for Hamlin to get out of this unscathed. 

Damar Hamlin makes his first comments since the incident 

Since the incident took place, Damar Hamlin has not been in a condition to released a statement until a few hours ago. The Bills safety took to Instagram to share his thoughts after the incident. He said, “When you put real love out into the world it comes back to you 3x’s as much. The Love has been overwhelming, but I’m thankful for every single person that prayed for me and reached out. We brung the world back together behind this. If you know me you know this only gone make me stronger. On a long road keep praying for me!  #3strong.”


Damar Hamlin has played a significant role in Bill’s success this season. Going into the season, the Bills were strong favorites to win the Super Bowl and they have not been disappointed with their performances so far. 

Heading into the final game of the season, the Bills have a record of 12-3 and will most likely tie for the top spot with the Kansas City Chiefs with a win over the Patriots. Needless to say, the Bills will have their task cut out for them if they want to go all the way, but the team definitely has the star power and the talent in order to do so.
