Dallas Cowboys and Tampa Bay Buccaneers Set an Insane Viewership Record in the Final Wild Card Game of the 2022 NFL Season

In the final game of the wildcard round of the 2022 NFL playoffs, the Dallas Cowboys took on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. An epic battle between America’s team and America’s quarterback is set for Monday night football. Needless to say, the game between the Bucs and the Cowboys was the most anticipated game of the playoffs, given what was at stake.

Naturally, big numbers were expected for the event and the figures revealed do not disappoint. Last night’s broadcast on ABC, ESPN, and ESPN2 generated 30.6 million viewers. it was the most-watched Disney Company playoff game since 1999, when the games were televised by ABC.

Leading up to the game as well as after the game, most of the focus was around Tom Brady given this could potentially be his last season in the NFL. However, not much attention was given to Dak Prescott and his men who put on an absolute clinic to take out Tom Brady.

After the game, when asked about his future, Tom Brady said that he would like to take it one day at a time and not rush to any decisions. He did not confirm or deny his availability for next season. While the road ended for Tom Brady on Monday night, for the Dallas Cowboys, this is just the beginning.

After playing on Monday night, America’s team will face the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday afternoon which means very little time to rest and recuperate.

When asked about his team’s schedule, owner Jerry Jones said, “Not at all. Not at all. That’s what we were dealt. We got to play in front of the nation. We got an extra day to get ready for tonight. Good thing. The result, we’ll go play on a short week. We’ve done that Thanksgiving Day, played short weeks. . . . I don’t see that being a disadvantage.”
