Dak Prescott And His Strong Resilience Towards Hardships
Everyone once in their life is at a point where they feel their lowest. For Dak Prescott it was when he lost his mother and brother in the year 2020. The kind of trauma one goes through after losing their family is tremendous. Getting through that is one hell of a big deal. Prescott not only dealt with the drama openly but also came out stronger! There’s so much to learn from him.
Dak lost his mother Peggy when he was 20 years old in 2013, three years before being selected by “America’s Team” in the fourth round of the NFL Draft as the #135 overall choice. However, this would not be the former Mississippi State University quarterback’s worst family tragedy.

Prescott lost his brother Jace in 2020, already in his fourth season and well established as the Cowboys’ starting quarterback, some time after ousting Tony Romo from the position. Jace had unexpectedly made the decision to commit himself.

Prescott Spoke To Media After His Recent Thumb Injury
Earlier in the week, after fielding a call that the deal was done, the Cowboys quarterback and his brother Tad engaged in an emotional embrace. Tad posted the photo on his Twitter account.
It was a poignant time because their mother Peggy passed away from colon cancer before she ever got to watch her son play in the NFL. Jace, their brother, had committed suicide 11 months prior.

At The Star on Wednesday in the afternoon, Dak Prescott told reporters, “That moment was actually about my mom and my brother.” “I felt my mom and brother as much as I do today as we sat there, overtaken with emotions and enthusiasm.
“Right there, in that moment, as I told Tad, they are here.’’
Dak Prescott also spoke about mental health
Prescott claimed that discussing his battle with mental illness in public was crucial to him. He wanted to demonstrate to the public that even he, the Dallas Cowboys quarterback, required assistance.

“Everything else’s health follows mental wellness. Prior to taking the reins, I must ensure that my mindset is suitable for doing so and guiding others to their desired destinations. Being open, sincere, and vulnerable are qualities I believe are crucial. When you are a leader and your voice is heard by so many people and you have the ability to inspire, I believe it goes a long way.”
Dak Prescott, however, has been instrumental in preserving the memory of his loved ones rather than succumbing to despair since, following the death of his mother, he founded the Faith Fight Finish Foundation.
