Cowboys QB Dak Prescott Turns 29 Today, Plans to Win a Super Bowl For the Franchise
Dak Prescott, the quarterback of the Dallas Cowboys who is entering his seventh season, turns 29 on Friday, and he already has a list of birthday wishes. However, Dak Prescott intends for that day to be only the beginning of a year of celebrations as he will be 29 years old and with the maturity that comes with being the most famous player in the NFL’s most popular team.
Brett Favre and Aaron Rodgers, who won the championship with McCarthy following the 2010 season, were two quarterbacks that Mike McCarthy coached while they played for the Green Bay Packers.
McCarthy thinks Prescott possesses qualities that make him a Super Bowl quarterback. Prescott will start for the Cowboys for the seventh consecutive season, but he has yet to see the sort of postseason success that everyone in Dallas would like to see.

Dak Prescott wants this year to be Cowboys’
“It will be the golden birthday,” Prescott said via ESPN. “I plan for this to be the golden year.”
“I mean obviously knowing the quarterbacks that played specifically for this team and knowing their legacy and the ones that we hold at the highest standard are the ones that have Super Bowl rings,” Prescott said, via Todd Archer of ESPN.com. “It starts there for me, trying to fill the shoes of those guys that have come before me and do something for this organization that hasn’t been done in a long time.”
Jerry Jones, the owner of the Cowboys, stated this week that for a season to be deemed successful, the club must be “viable” in the postseason. Prescott appears to agree, and the two men will undoubtedly be joined by many more as Dallas’ streak without a Super Bowl victory lengthens.
With six seconds left on the clock and no time to go into spike the ball and have one final play to attempt to defeat the San Francisco 49ers in the Wild Card Round, Prescott closed the previous season with a contentious play. He ran on a carry down the center of the field.
