Copa America 2024 Draw: Schedule, Venue & Qualified Teams
In preparation for co-hosting the 2026 FIFA World Cup with neighbouring neighbours Canada and Mexico, the USA will play host to Copa America in 2024.
After receiving a second invitation to participate in a combined competition with CONCACAF and CONMEBOL teams, the USA hosted the competition for the first time in 2016.
South American giant Brazil and a number of invited guest nations from North America will test Lionel Messi and the reigning champions Argentina, who are rated No. 1 in the world after winning the 2022 World Cup.

Prior to serving as the 2026 World Cup hosts, the USMNT hopes to make a significant impact at home, while Jamaica and Mexico will also be involved alongside three other CONCACAF participants.

Copa America 2024 format
16 teams total, divided into four groups of four teams each, will compete in the 2024 Copa America. The drawing will happen in Miami, Florida on Thursday, December 7, 2023.

The competition will therefore start on June 20, 2024, with Argentina, the reigning champions, playing in the first group-stage match from Atlanta, GA. Then, until July 2, the group stage will take place, with the top two competitors in each group moving on to the knockout round and the lowest two eliminated.
On July 4, the quarterfinals of the knockout stage will take place. A single-elimination tournament will be played through to the end. On July 14, the day before the final, a third-place match is scheduled for players who lost in the semifinal.

Argentina, the World Cup winners and reigning Copa América champions, commanded by Lionel Messi of Inter Miami, have been drawn into Group A and will play in the Atlanta match on June 29. They will also play in East Rutherford five days later.

Who will host Copa America 2024?
The first game of the tournament will take place at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, Georgia, as previously stated by CONMEBOL. Las Vegas, Orlando, Santa Clara, Inglewood, Kansas City, Missouri, and Kansas City, Kansas are the other host cities.
