Controversial Star Miles Bridges Set For NBA Return After Being Domestic Violence Drama

The restricted free agent with the Charlotte Hornets Miles Bridges entered a not-guilty plea to a felony domestic violence allegation last month in Los Angeles Superior Court. As part of an agreement with prosecutors, Miles Bridges received a three-year probationary term without any prison time. The Charlotte Hornets were a club that was somewhere in the center of the standings in the NBA a year ago. They were one of the most entertaining teams to watch in the League Pass, and they had won their past two games straight.

Miles Bridges was given the option to sign a new deal with Charlotte in the summer of 2021 for a salary that was much lower when his previous contract was ready to expire the previous year.

Miles Bridges spotted at NBA game

Sources close to the Hornets told ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski that the team and Bridges are in advanced negotiations to bring him back to the squad. A day before NBA free agency, when Bridges, then 24, was prepared to test the market, he was arrested.

In 2021, Bridges had a breakthrough season with Charlotte, averaging 20.2 points, 7.0 rebounds, and 3.8 assists. He first entered a not-guilty plea but then changed it to a no-contest plea.

His punishment for having to deposit the $130,000 bond was a three-year probationary period. Miles Bridges left his home after Mychelle Johnson reported the alleged assault to the police.
