Conor McGregor Brands Ian Garry a ‘Future World Champion’ as He Heaps Praise on the Youngster

The UFC is a truly global organization with champions from all around the world. Over the past decade or so, the promotion has morphed into one of the biggest and most valuable sporting leagues in the world. A lot of it can be credited to Conor McGregor, who was instrumental in making the UFC a mainstream sport.

‘The Notorious’ took to Twitter earlier today to shout out his fellow countryman, Ian Garry, and brand him a future world champion. He said, “Ian Garry was incredibly impressive this weekend. Fully immersed in it all. Enjoying every second. Willingness to engage / commit. The Potential for another “future” Irish mma ufc champion rose by a real nice margin this weekend. Congrats Ian, keep going brother!”

Garry responded to the comment saying, “Thank You! The Take Over Part 2 continues to grow, I cannot wait for your return. Let’s bring the @ufc back to Dublin. It’s Inevitable.”

‘The Notorious’ was the first person from Ireland to become a champion in the UFC and is a record he still holds to this date. McGregor’s success in the UFC has encouraged a host of youngsters in Ireland to take up the sport, Ian Gary being one such individual. It will be interesting to see how far Gary will be able to go in the UFC and if he will be able to replicate McGregor’s success in the UFC octagon.

Conor McGregor to return to action later this year?

‘Mystic Mac’ is inching ever so close to his highly anticipated return to the sport. After a horrific injury, McGregor has taken time away from the sport to ensure that he heals up properly and takes the adequate care needed to overcome a potentially career-ending injury.

‘The Notorious’ has a host of names that he can pick from upon his return. Charles Oliveira, who was recently stripped off the belt, has stated that he wants a money fight against Conor McGregor. However, it is unlikely to take place. The common consensus is that McGregor will take on Nate Diaz as a part of their trilogy before Diaz is done with his UFC contract.
