“Concerned About His Availability”: Brooklyn Nets Are ‘Frustrated’ With Ben Simmons Amidst Recent Struggles
The Kings scored 153 points, the highest since 1993, and the Nets were the first NBA club to do it this season. Second-quarter defeat and third-quarter humiliation for the Nets. Additionally, in a 153-121 drubbing at the hands of the Kings on Tuesday night at the Golden 1 Center, their defense crumbled like fragile paper. In the early going of the 2022–23 season, point guard Ben Simmons is reportedly causing the Brooklyn Nets’ frustration.
Ben Simmons not having the influence on the field that many had hoped for, and many are doubtful because he missed time with a knee injury. He made it quite apparent and had to have multiple injections for his inflamed knee. He is dealing with a genuine problem.

The organization has reportedly been both annoyed and anxious about Simmons over the past several weeks, according to Shams Charania and Sam Amick of The Athletic.
The Athletic report read: “According to multiple sources with direct knowledge of the situation, the frustration surrounding Simmons had been building in recent weeks within the organization. The coaching staff and players have been concerned about his availability and level of play, with some questioning his passion for the game, those sources said. But even when he did play, Simmons’ struggles in his first nine games this season were part of the Nets frustration as well.”

Concerns have been raised over Simmons’ love of the sport. He doesn’t appear as combative as he was before his extended leave when he was dealing with mental health issues and a back ailment, and he appears afraid. For Brooklyn, Simmons is averaging a career-low 5.8 points, 5.6 assists, and 6.1 rebounds per game.
Recently, Ben Simmons and his problems have become a minor plot point for the Nets. The NBA has continued to punish Kyrie Irving for publicly endorsing an anti-Semitic movie. Steve Nash was sacked as the head coach. Ime Udoka, the head coach of the Boston Celtics who has been suspended for the duration of the season owing to an improper connection with a coworker, was a candidate to take his position.
