Commanders’ Jonathan Allen Lashes Out After Loss To Giants

The rival New York Giants humiliated the Washington Commanders 14–7 on Sunday, despite the fact that the two teams combined for 18 punts—the most in a single game this season. Sam Howell and company’s offense was agonizing to watch as they went only 1-for-15 on third downs and 1-for-3 in the red zone. The defensive tackle, Jonathan Allen was not very happy with the situation.

Commanders’ Jonathan Allen Lashes Out After Loss To Giants

Jonathan Allen, a defensive tackle, was asked by JP Finlay of NBC Sports Washington what he thought of the defeat following it.

“They whooped our ass. Plain and simple. Gotta be better, ” Allen said.

Allen expressed his opinion that his squad lacked “focus” and “attention to detail” following the game.

However, his most scathing critique was directed at the question of whether the Commanders’ issues were becoming tiresome.

Prior to the reporter completing the inquiry, Allen commenced an expletives-laden diatribe.

“F–k yes it does,” Allen quickly responded. “I’m f–king tired of this s–t. I’m f–king tired of this bulls–t. It’s been seven f–king years of the same s–t. I’m tired of this s–t.”

Then someone asked Allen what he could do to make this season different.

“Get our minds right and get ready to play f—–g Philadelphia.”

Washington’s record after this game is now 3-4 overall and 0-2 in the division. Fans in Washington are well aware of Allen’s concerns, since the Commanders have failed to have a winning season since 2016.

Following their back-to-back victories, Washington had begun a new chapter under new owner Josh Harris, who had acquired the team from Dan Snyder in the summer.

However, the Commanders are scheduled to play the Eagles after losing four of their previous five games, including their loss to the Giants on Sunday.

Josh Harris’s acquisition of the Commanders this summer was a significant win for the team, but on-field performance hasn’t followed. After beginning the season 2-0, Washington is presently 1-4, and Ron Rivera is now 25-30-1 in his role as head coach of the Commanders.
