Colorado HC Deion Sanders Calls Out Media Outlets After A Massive Win: Angers Reporters
In his first game as Colorado’s head coach, Deion Sanders’ team’s victory over TCU on Saturday served as vindication. And he made certain to inform the media of it.
After his team defeated the Horned Frogs 45-42, Sanders addressed the media and began berating certain journalists by name and criticizing them for “what they wrote” about his squad.
Colorado HC Deion Sanders Calls Out Media Outlets After A Massive Win: Angers Reporters
Sanders and the Colorado Buffs squad stunned the NCAA football world on Saturday when they defeated TCU, which was ranked 17th, despite being 20-point underdogs.
NEVER SEEN ANYTHING LIKE THIS 😳
— Deion Sanders pregame speech was on another level!
— Colorado went in as a HUGE underdog against TSU!
— Ohh… and they won! ‼️‼️

The question is, “Do you believe now?” Sanders questioned the media following his team’s 45–42 victory over No. 16 TCU on Saturday. “Huh?”
“Do you believe now? I read through that bull junk you wrote.”

After what occurred here on Saturday in front of a record-breaking 53,294 spectators at Amon G. Carter Stadium and on national television, it is difficult not to. It was Sanders’ first game as Colorado’s head coach after he replaced the majority of the roster from previous year’s 1-11 squad with 68 scholarship freshmen.

The Buffaloes also faced a group who participated in the national championship game the previous season as 2012-point underdogs.
Sanders slammed everyone who had doubts about him and his squad after the game.
Deion expecting every media member to be either for him or against him represents two things:
1. A complete misunderstanding of how most media members see their jobs.
and
2. A completely understandable result of, like, the last 15 years of the media business. https://t.co/KidJoden6F

“We told you we are coming. You thought we was playing.”
As he left the press conference he made sure to tell everyone “I’ve got receipts, I’ve got all the receipts.”
I believe in @DeionSanders.. easy as that

Deion Sanders received a lot of backlash from the media for his actions and choices in the beginning of his term. For some of the decisions he made about his personnel, even some of his fellow Pac-12 coaches publicly condemned him.
Coach Prime, however, is unable to carry this grudge indefinitely. It’s going to fast get stale.
So reporters are supposed to cheerlead or they’re not allowed to participate in press conferences? https://t.co/UAkgAYRoP7

People will push back harder at the first indication of difficulty — and difficulty will always exist — the more he pushes back.
But for the time being, Coach Prime will get the final laugh. He’s now enjoying one, too.
