College Football Week 3 TV schedule : Top 25 Rankings : Dawgs on top :

The college football season’s Week 2 was very chaotic, and as a result, the new AP Top 25 poll for Week 3 has experienced a lot of change.

A fantastic Saturday was had by the Sun Belt Conference. On the road, three of its clubs accomplished thrilling upsets. No. 6 Texas A&M was upset 17-14 by Appalachian State. Georgia Southern defeated Nebraska 45-42, and Marshall prevailed against No. 8 Notre Dame 26-21.

Due to its defeat, Notre Dame was removed from the latest AP poll, while Texas A&M is only just included at No. 24.

The SEC now has four teams ranked in the top 10 after another outstanding week. Despite losing to Kentucky at home, Florida is still ranked in the top 25. Following Alabama’s narrow escape from an upset at Texas, Georgia jumped over the Crimson Tide to claim the top place.

Georgia is now ranked first.

The Bulldogs occupied the top spot for the first time this season as Georgia continued to ascend in the rankings. Georgia passed conference rival Alabama at No. 1 thanks to a strong defence that has only given up three points the entire season and threw a shutout in Week 2. The decision was made after the Crimson Tide narrowly defeated Texas, who was unranked at the time, despite the absence of the Longhorns’ starting quarterback for the majority of the contest.

Currently, Georgia has 44 more first-place votes than Alabama. That’s yet another triumph for the Bulldogs, who are currently leading the poll as they attempt to retain their 2021 national title.

Three new groups enter the top ten.

This week’s AP Poll now features No. 8 Oklahoma State, No. 9 Kentucky, and No. 10 Arkansas among the top 10. In this week’s top 25, the Cowboys, Wildcats, and Razorbacks move up three, eleven, and six spots, respectively, taking the places of Texas A&M, Notre Dame, and Baylor in the top 10.
