Colin Kaepernick Wrote A Letter To Jets For ‘Risk-Free’ Practice Squad
After Aaron Rodgers’ injury, the New York Jets are back to square one, attempting to win football games with Zach Wilson, and it’s not working well. One quarterback, though, is aggressively seeking a job with the Jets: Colin Kaepernick.
The fans are outraged, and the organization appears unwilling to challenge Wilson with a strong experienced quarterback. Despite the fact that Trevor Siemian was added to their practice squad on Tuesday.

Colin Kaepernick Wrote A Letter To Jets For ‘Risk-Free’ Practice Squad
Kaepernick wrote to the Jets’ general manager last week in a letter released on social media by artist J. Cole, outlining why he hoped the team would give him a shot on the practice squad.
Kaepernick, 35, indicated that he would assist the defense prepare for Weeks 4, 5, and 6, while also allowing the club to assess him without putting Zach Wilson under pressure.

“I would be honored and extremely grateful for the opportunity to come in and lead the practice squad,” Kaepernick wrote. “I would do this with the sole mission of getting your defense ready each week. If I were able to fill this role, I believe this allows for multiple things.”
“Worst case scenario, you see what I have to offer and you’re not that impressed. “Best case scenario,” Kaepernick wrote, “you realize you have a real weapon at your disposal in the event you ever need to use it.” “In either of these scenarios, I would be committed to getting your defense ready week in and week out, all season long, and I would wear that responsibility like a badge of honor.”
HEY NOW:
Colin Kaepernick just sent a letter asking to join my NFL New York Jets, to help out after the Aaron Rodgers injury.Who else thinks Kaepernick deserves a chance?🖐️🏿 pic.twitter.com/Ol54o7Ynd9

It’s commendable that Kaepernick is working hard to return to the NFL. But you have to acknowledge that it’s also really sad that it’s come to this.
He told Sports Illustrated earlier this year that he was still training 5-6 days a week in the hopes of making a squad.
NEW: Social justice warrior Colin Kaepernick, who once compared the NFL to slavery, is now begging the New York Jets to be on their practice squad.
Why would he want to be a ‘slave’ again?
In the letter, Kaepernick argued that he deserved a spot on the team.

On Tuesday, the Jets added quarterback Trevor Siemian to their practice squad.
Kaepernick has been outspoken about racial inequality and police brutality in the United States, and he made headlines when he kneeled in protest during the national anthem while playing for the San Francisco 49ers.
So Colin Kaepernick has asked the New York Jets if he could “lead the practice squad.”
He either:
1. wants them to decline so he can sue them for racial discrimination, or
2. he just wants to kneel during the National Anthem again. pic.twitter.com/EsE4s7WITt

If the Jets decide to take Kaepernick’s offer, it will most certainly be evaluated against what he brings to the football as well as the headlines it may produce off the field.
