Clippers Paul George Believes NFL Players ‘can’t cross over to NBA’
The LA Clippers star responded to Travis Kelce’s podcast query on the possibility of an NFL player making the switch to the NBA. George answered the query carefully and even provided his own justifications for his conclusions.
Clippers Paul George Believes NFL Players ‘Can’t cross over to NBA’
“I don’t think a football player could cross over to the NBA,” George said. “Our game is completely skilled. For me, I think for NFL guys to be able to play in the league, they gotta be a hell of a shooter, right? Otherwise, we’re not gonna guard you. That athleticism, that strength, that means nothing if you can’t shoot the ball in our league.
“I think there’s really good guys that have played both. You think about Julius Peppers, you think about Tony Gonzalez. There are tight ends (who) have made great transitions, whether it’s basketball to football or football to basketball. I’m not saying that guys can’t play at a high level, but I think as far as playing in the NBA, I I don’t think there’s a chance.”
Paul George says NBA players have a better chance of playing in the NFL than NFL players playing in the NBA.

“Imagine if Bron was in the NFL. Who the f**k is stopping Bron? Picture Westbrook’s Russ. Russ is 6-3, 6-4, built. Fast as s**t. Russ could play safety. I think guys in the NBA could make that transition. I think I could’ve played wide receiver.”
Great athletes have switched to other sports and succeeded in doing so. Some could even include Michael Jordan, who formerly played baseball in the minor leagues, on the list.

Deion Sanders and Bo Jackson are still outliers. In the contemporary age, both saw success in the NFL and MLB.

Whatever the situation, crossing across would be quite challenging for any athlete. The definition of athleticism varies depending on the sport. that you wouldn’t have a good time if you didn’t practise constantly. However, it appears like Paul George has set off a discussion that many sportsmen will get into. What sport do you believe would do better in a crossover?
