Joe Mixon Shades Bills Defence Saying “Basic,Not Elite”

The AFC champions in the current season are the Cincinnati Bengals, as evidenced by their Super Bowl berth. So they do have the ability to brag at conferences.

And the day before their highly anticipated “Monday Night Football” game against the Buffalo Bills?

They are making full use of those “boastful rights.

In response to a question on the NFL’s fourth-ranked rushing defence, the star running back gave the AFC’s top seed some ideas for a bulletin board heading into the new year.

brave move!

“They’re a solid linebacker group, but they’re not the Ravens,” Bengals star running back Joe Mixon said, via The Athletic. “I mean, they’re good. They get paid, too. I’m not saying they’re not good. But they’re not the Ravens.”

Mixon made a clear allusion to the linebackers from Buffalo, who will bear some of the major burden for pursuing the consistent 1,000-yard rusher.

Buffalo has a different perspective of its linebackers, Matt Milano and Tremaine Edmunds. They are both Pro Bowl backups.

One of the best playmakers in the NFL, Milano has 1.5 sacks, two interceptions, nine passes broken up, two fumble recoveries, and a touchdown to his name.

One of the best and busiest tacklers in the NFL is Edmunds. He has a sack and four passes intercepted, and he leads Buffalo in that area (with 95).

The Bills and Bengals have been on a collision course for weeks now, and finally, face each other Monday night in Cincy. Buffalo has won six in a row, while the Bengals haven’t lost since Halloween.

The Bills, on the other hand, have the second-worst scoring defence in the NFL (17.3) and allow just over 100 rushing yards per game. The Baltimore Ravens, the team Mixon used as an example and who presently allow 87 rushing yards per game, are slightly ahead of the Bills.

It’s gonna be a forceful game!
