“Chris Paul Type of Guy”: Indian Pacers’ Two-Time Blocks Leader Excited About Tyrese Haliburton’s Potential
Tyrese Haliburton added 26 points, and rookie Bennedict Mathurin scored a career-high 32 as the Indiana Pacers defeated the Brooklyn Nets 125-116 on Saturday. Haliburton has been in fine form this season for the Pacers. So much so, Myles Turner compared him to Chris Paul. Last Friday, the Indiana Pacers defeated the Washington Wizards 127-117 thanks to Tyrese Haliburton’s 25 points and 12 assists, Myles Turner’s 27 points, and other strong performances.
Haliburton is a gifted young player with a pass-first approach to the game. In today’s game, guards frequently dribble for 15 to 20 seconds at the top of the key. Turner was eager to team up with Haliburton since he is a traditional player who prefers to accumulate assists over points.
Myles Turner compared Tyrese Haliburton with Chris Paul
“He’s going to be (a) Chris Paul type of guy,” Turner told ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.

Having said that, Tyrese Haliburton also has a talent for scoring. The Turner-Haliburton partnership can guide the Pacers to a successful season. Myles Turner may be on track for his high-scoring total ever given Haliburton’s pass-first approach and the dearth of additional post-scoring possibilities.
The scoring would definitely be the cherry on top for him because he has always been regarded as being a strong rebounder and fierce shot-blocker. Without a doubt, the Pacers have a rising star among them. Next summer, Indiana could be forced to compensate him.
Chris Paul has long been regarded as the NBA’s ideal floor general. Although he is still active, his position will soon be up for competition. Tyrese Haliburton, the point guard for the Indiana Pacers, entered the race by breaking an NBA record. Haliburton is displaying levels of playmaking that only a select few players in the entire league can at the age of 22. Additionally, he’s doing it for a team in Indiana made up of NBA periphery players.
