Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes Finally Speaks Up On His Brother Being Charged Of Sexual Assault

Regarding the sexual abuse lawsuit involving his brother Jackson Mahomes, Patrick Mahomes actually can’t do anything. Jackson was accused of forcibly kissing Aspen Vaughn, proprietor of the Aspens Restaurant and Lounge in Overland Park, the first time a situation like this came to light.

There is even leaked video of the incident, which occurred back in March. After being detained in May for a sexual assault incident involving a different lady, Jackson quickly secured a $100,000 bond. A preliminary hearing is slated to take place on August 31 later this year.

The two-time Super Bowl winner finally responded to inquiries about Jackson this week. The Chiefs star is hoping to concentrate on football when the OTAs get underway while they return as the reigning champs.

Whatever Jackson is going through, according to the 27-year-old, is a private affair. He is not required to publicly address their problems because he is an athlete.

“Honestly, it’s kind of a personal thing that I’m just kind of going to keep to myself,” Patrick said of his brother Jackson’s arrest. “I mean, at the end of the day, I come here to play football and try to take care of my family at the same time. So I just kinda keep it to myself and just go out there and play football when I’m in the building.”

The Chiefs have started their OTAs for the 2023 season. Since new faces have come in the city, all of the players are occupied bonding with one another and getting ready for a new campaign. Mahomes doesn’t want to jeopardize the occasion by bringing his personal issues into a sporting event. He clarified his position by saying he wanted to keep his attention on the game.
