In search of cheap attention and quick rage, the 26-year-old wide receiver made the decision to use The Cheesesteak Trope on Super Bowl Opening Night. He just about managed to get it.

Wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster of the Kansas City Chiefs may have provided the Philadelphia Eagles with some inspiration for their Super Bowl LVII team meeting.
Smith-Schuster discussed Philly cheesesteaks with media on Monday at Super Bowl Opening Night.

To be really honest, he said, “Philly doesn’t have the finest Philly cheesesteaks.”
When asked where the best ones are, he responded “definitely not Philly.”
He goes to tremendous efforts in the days preceding up to Super Bowl LVII to make a spectacle, rile up the competition, and demonstrate his superiority on game day. At least, that’s what Chiefs wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster allegedly thinks after disparaging Philadelphia’s signature dish, the Philly Cheesesteak, in a news conference.

In Smith-opinion, Schuster’s “To be honest, Philadelphia doesn’t have the finest Philly cheesesteaks. Definitely not in Philadelphia, “When he stated that, many of his supporters in the “City of Brotherly Love” instantly took to social media to denounce him.
What JuJu omitted to mention was the location of the greatest Philly Cheesesteaks, which originated in Philadelphia in the 1930s.
The wide receiver joined the Chiefs on a one-year deal after he tested the free-agent market. He played for the Pittsburgh Steelers for five seasons, and in 63 games, he had 323 catches for 3,855 yards and 26 touchdowns.

With the Chiefs this season, the one-time Pro Bowler had 78 receptions for 933 yards and three touchdowns. He was targeted 101 times. It was the most receiving yards he has had since his breakout year in 2018.
Smitha Schuster’s status for the Super Bowl is unclear. He suffered a knee injury in the AFC Championship against the Cincinnati Bengals and did not return for the first half.
