Charles Barkley reveals how THIS star could have helped Sixers avoid Game 2 loss vs Miami Heat

The Miami Heat got the better of the Philadelphia 76ers on Wednesday night and beat them 119-103 to secure a win in Game 2 of the second-round series in the NBA Playoffs. The Heat now lead the Eastern Conference semifinal series 2-0 and look on course to enter the finals of the division as well.

The Heat were efficient on both ends of the court in Game 2 against the Sixers. Jimmy Butler and Bam Adebayo combined for 45 points while Tyler Herro and Victor Oladipo had 18 and 19 points off the bench, respectively.

On the other hand, James Harden and Tyrese Maxey led the way for the Sixers, but in the end, their combined 54 points, 10 assists and seven assists were not enough to overcome what the Heat.

Charles Barkley highlights importance of Joel Embiid

NBA legend Charles Barkley has claimed that the Heat were still deserving winners in Game 2 but still may have been exploited due to their lack of size in the roster. While speaking as an analyst on NBA on TNT, Barkley said that the absence of Joel Embiid could have really helped the Sixers overcome the Heat.

The former Philly star admitted the weakness in the Heat side and stated, “The one thing that really sucks for the Heat is the one weakness they have is size.”

Barkley added that Joel Embiid could have made a big difference in the game as the Cameroonian is much bigger in size than any other Heat player. “Bam Adebayo is a terrific player but he’s only like 6’7” somewhere like that and he got no chance against Joel. That’s the one thing that just really sucks. We can’t even get an example of how good the Heat are even though we know they got a good team because we can’t exploit their one weakness.” he concluded.

Embiid missed the first two games of the series against the Heat due to injury. The 28-year-old is dealing with a concussion and orbital fracture, which he sustained in the final game of their opening round series against the Toronto Raptors.
