Cavinder Twins Are Not Together Anymore. One Of Them Decided To Go Back To Basketball. Know More

Haley And Hanna Cavinder will not play together. Well, not anymore. One of them decided to go back to basketball.

On Friday, Haley Cavinder posted a highlight video to Instagram with the comment, “see you next season, #year5,” announcing her decision to play collegiate basketball once again.

After assisting Miami in making it to the Elite 8 the previous season, Haley and her twin sister Hanna gave up playing.

However, Haley won’t be back for the new season, which starts next month, and will instead concentrate on the 2024–2025 season.

“As a businesswoman, she’s excited to see what type of opportunities there might be in the portal,” On3.com was informed by Haley’s agent, Jeff Hoffman.

“It comes from a foundation of she misses basketball more than anything in the world and as it approaches another season, even more so. She is going to hop in the portal. She’s 100% making her return to college basketball.”

The NIL trailblazer’s return to Miami is “100% on the table,” according to Hoffman, despite the fact that she is in the transfer portal.

Last season, the guard’s sister Hanna, a reserve for the Hurricanes, averaged 12 points and five rebounds per game.

They jointly declared their intention to leave the sport and transition into full-time influencers in March.

Haley, however, admitted she had strong doubts about giving up the sport, and their disagreement over their futures almost caused a rift in their relationship.

“We got in a fight, if you really want to know the tea, and I was like ‘Hanna, I’m going back,’ and she was like, ‘I’m not going back, I’m not doing it anymore,’” On their “Twin Talk” podcast in August, Haley spoke of the initial choice.

“We made it to the Elite 8, that was Hanna and I’s goal. Hanna didn’t want to play, so she made me quit basketball.”

Due to the constant harassment she had to endure due to her limited playing time, Hanna said she was “so done” with collegiate basketball on the podcast.

“She’s back – on Friday the 13th. That’s crazy,” Hanna wrote in a presumably supportive comment on Haley’s Instagram photo. It’s absurd.
