Curaçao is competing in the Caribbean Series for the first time and hopes to become the second team to do so (Panama won in 2019). Colombia hopes to become the first nation to win consecutive championships since Mexico in 2017 and 2018, even if last year’s champion, Caimanes de Barranquilla, won’t compete this year. After a three-year absence from the event, Cuba is also back.
Eight teams compete in a round-robin format during the first stage of the Series, with the top four moving on to the semifinal doubleheader on February 9. On February 10, there will be a single-game championship.
