Can the Denver Broncos still make the playoffs in the 2022-23 season?

The Denver Broncos suffered their 10th defeat of the 2022-23 NFL regular season on Sunday. Russell Wilson and Co lost to the Kansas City Chiefs and are now officially out of playoff contention.

The Broncos have a 3-10 record and will not be able to compete in the postseason. Nathaniel Hackett’s side is in 4th place on the AFC West table and has endured one of their toughest season in a while. The Broncos join the Houston Texans and Chicago Bears, who are also out of the playoffs.

Who did the Denver Broncos lose to in the regular season?

The Denver Broncos were struggling from Week 1 of the NFL season when they lost to the Seattle Seahawks. Although they managed to win two games in a row, their performances after Week 3 were absolutely dire. Denver then lost four games in a row against the Las Vegas Raiders, Indianapolis Colts, Los Angeles Chargers and New York Jets.

After a win over the Jacksonville Jaguars in  Week 8, they went on another torrid five-game losing run. They lost to the Tennessee Titans, Raiders, Carolina Panthers, Baltimore Ravens and Kansas City Chiefs.

Will the Broncos continue with Russell Wilson as QB in 2023?

While a lot was expected of Russell Wilson in his debut season with the Broncos, the quarterback clearly failed to live up to the expectations. He managed an underwhelming 2,805 passing yards and 11 touchdowns, with only 5 interceptions in 2022. The Super Bowl winner has looked nothing like his old self and the Broncos may be looking for a change next season. Nonetheless, we will have to wait until that decision is finalized.
