“Can Only Push the Game Forward”: Kevin Durant Calls Out NBA Talk-Show Hosts, Praises Stephen Curry and Michael Jordan
Kevin Durant isn’t afraid to confront his detractors. As some NBA experts have discovered, the Brooklyn Nets superstar is not hesitant to reply to insults made about him online or on television. Stephen A. Smith, an NBA expert, recently stated that Steph Curry improved basketball whereas Michael Jordan made it worse.
‘Mad Dog’ Chris Russo blasted Steph Curry for the NBA’s present predicament on yesterday’s broadcast of First Take. Curry was supported by Stephen A. Smith, who pointed out that he only performed his own job.
“My brother, the guy I love so much, that I believe is the greatest player to ever play. Michael Jordan is responsible as much as anybody for changing the game for the worse. This is throwing no shade on Michael Jordan, he is the greatest ever in my estimation.”
Stephen A truly demonstrated how Michael Jordan, through no fault of his own, made the NBA poorer by making the game more individualized following his arrival, as opposed to a more team-oriented game before his arrival.
Kevin Durant slams NBA pundits, praises ex-teammate Stephen Curry
My theory is that guys like steve, skip and Shannon have changed the game for the worse. Playas like Stephen and Michael can only push the game forward. https://t.co/0Oc9J2HqxS

Smith was not criticizing Michael Jordan; rather, he was emphasizing how his particular skill caused the game to become more individualistic. Because of his innate talent, Stephen Curry raised the game to the point where it was acceptable to focus on shooting. Curry and Jordan are both recognized for transforming the NBA.
Jordan’s talent helped the NBA grow in popularity and reach new markets across the world. Whereas, as a result of Curry’s tremendous shooting skill, the NBA has become more shooting-oriented than it was previously. However, Durant isn’t wrong, particularly as the media has changed a lot over the years. What do you think? Let us know in the comment section below.
