Carl remembered a time when, at the tender age of twelve or thirteen, Caleb declined a girl’s approaches in order to concentrate on his love of football. “And I got him a new little Mac laptop. And so I’m setting it up. He’s in his bedroom. It’s probably 10 o’clock at night,” Carl said.

While Carl was configuring the laptop, he noticed a text message from a female on Caleb’s phone, which prompted him to give her a call. Caleb answered, “I can’t I gotta train in the morning.” instead. His father’s eyes welled with emotions at this young boy’s demonstration of attention and determination.
