During the 2024 NBA All-Star Weekend, Ionescu faced off against Stephen Curry in a three-point shooting competition.
In the NCAA, Clark of the Iowa Hawkeyes broke Kelsey Plum’s record for points against the Michigan Wolverines. Athletes like Coco Gauff and former New England Patriot Tom Brady showered Clark with praise.

The Golden State Warriors’ Curry, however, barely defeated Ionescu by three points (29–26) in their three-point game, even though Ionescu was shooting from the NBA line rather than the WNBA line, which put her in more unfamiliar terrain.
Being the first player in NCAA history to record 2,000 career points, 1,000 rebounds, and 1,000 assists is Sabrina Ionescu. The prior record of 12 triple-doubles was completely destroyed by her 26. Ionescu won National Player of the Year even though COVID-19 forced the end of her final season.

Reposting an advertisement for Ionescu, she also included four fire emojis to a picture of the Liberty star dangling in the air to sink a three-pointer with the remark, “If you can shoot, you can shoot.”
Ionescu will serve as an inspiration to Clark, whose professional path is currently identical to mine. Ionescu finished her five-year career as an NCAA player with the Oregon Ducks, leaving a lasting impression.
