Caitlin Clark Is Under Fire For Replicating Kobe Bryant’s Legendary Championship Pose

Because Caitlin Clark of the Iowa Hawkeyes copied Kobe Bryant’s famous portrait from his 2001 NBA Finals victory with the Los Angeles Lakers, the guard is getting a lot of backlash. The team won the Big Ten conference for the third time in a row thanks to her 34-point outburst on Sunday.

The concept of reproducing the scene was not supported by 22-year-old Clark. She merely consented to take the picture after freelance photographer Bri Lewerke proposed the angle.

Some NBA and NCAA supporters expressed displeasure with Clark’s recreation of the shot, arguing that it would have only been acceptable following a national championship victory.

The LSU Tigers defeated Clark and the Hawkeyes in last year’s national championship game. This is the Iowa guard’s final opportunity to win the championship because she plans to play in the WNBA the following season.

In the second half, Caitlin Clark takes off.

Thanks to an amazing second-half performance from Clark, Iowa upset Nebraska 94-89 in overtime.

She only has four points at the half after missing all nine of her attempts from beyond the arc in the first half.

After that, Clark scored 30 points in the second half, including five three-pointers, to force overtime and finish the conference triple-double. But things did not go as planned throughout the day.
