Buffalo Man, Who Saved Dozens Of Lives From a Blizzard, Receives NFL Super Bowl Tickets
The Buffalo Bills surprised a local guy with Super Bowl tickets on Friday after he earned the nickname “Merry Christmas, Jay” after saving 24 people during the catastrophic snowfall there last month. Jay Withey acted bravely to save 24 lives on Christmas Eve during the blizzard in Buffalo, and the Bills honored him with a special Super Bowl thank you.
The Buffalo area experienced great hardship over the Christmas holiday when a blizzard took 37 lives in Erie County. Of those fatalities, four were discovered inside their cars, while the other eight were discovered outside. If Withey’s measures hadn’t been taken, that death toll may have almost doubled.

Due to the snow, Withey had spent the night stranded in his truck. He left his car and shattered a window to enter a school in an effort to save himself and two strangers, hoping to get warm and survive. The Bills winning the Super Bowl for the first time since 1994 would be the only thing that could improve this sweet tale.
