Buffalo Bills’ Josh Allen Fantasy: QB NFL Data & Stats Speculations 2022

Player Outlook

In August 2021, the Buffalo Bills signed a six-year contract extension with their star quarterback, Josh Allen. The contract tops out at $258 million with $150 of it guaranteed, which works out to $43 million a year, making him one of the highest paid athletes in the NFL with more guaranteed than Patrick Mahomes. This all but shows that the bills definitely see Allen as their future and will build their team around him.

Allen finished as the number one ranked quarterback in fantasy last year, and the common consensus is that he will repeat that feat in 2022. He will be the first person drafted in most leagues and we recommend the same as well. For the past two years, Allen has averaged close to 28 points per game, which makes him an obvious choice for most managers.

Bye Week: 7

Fantasy PPR Ranking: 21.1

Fantasy Points: 377.87

Josh Allen was the seventh pick in the first round of the NFL draft, and there were massive expectations of him coming into the league. However, in his first two seasons, Allen had subpar performances, and many believed he would not be able to live up to his draft position. However, Allen changed that in 2020 with a stellar season and has since maintained his position as one of the best if not the best quarterback in the league at this point in time.

Last season Allen averaged 409 completions on 646 attempts (63.3% completion) for 4,407 yards, 36 touchdowns, and 15 interceptions. When it comes to rushing stats, he averaged 122 attempts for 763 yards and six touchdowns. Additionally, He has consecutive years of at least 4,400 passing yards and 36 touchdowns, and he has at least 420 rushing yards and six rushing touchdowns in every year of his career. Given the moves the Bills have made in the off-season, it will be interesting to see if Allen is able to beat his fantasy points total from last year.
