Godwin, who has been with the Buccaneers since 2017, is no stranger to New Orleans road games. He’s been going there at least once a year for the past seven years.
He characterized the Superdome in such a way that it sounded like a gladiator arena. Godwin described it as the most daunting setting in the NFL, which aided him and his teammates in getting ready for the game.
The NFL’s Player’s Association has called for all venues to have a natural grass playing surface. The data suggests natural grass is better at preventing injuries, especially non-contact injuries. When you go into that stadium, you know what you’re getting into. Those fans — they have that stadium rocking. There are no windows. It’s like they go in and they lock the doors behind you, and it’s just like you and your guys going to battle.
The Superdome has been the subject of much debate throughout the years. Never before has a player stated what makes it so unique in such a way. Godwin put everything into perspective.

New Orleans leads the all-time series versus Tampa Bay 39-24. However, the Buccaneers won both regular-season encounters last year.
The rivalry between these two teams is long and sour. There is undeniable affection between these two franchises and their fan bases.
