The Tampa Bay Buccaneers attempt to rebound against the Saints in New Orleans Week 4 after a painful setback at home to the Eagles. Bucs Chris Godwin On How Intimidating Superdome Stadium Gets: “You know what you’re getting into”

The game between Tampa Bay and New Orleans has been exceptionally heated in recent years, and it will be no different on Sunday. Both clubs are starting new quarterbacks for the first time this season. Both clubs are certain that they will win the NFC South. It’s going to be a good time.

Godwin, who has been with the Buccaneers since 2017, is no stranger to New Orleans road games. He’s been going there at least once a year for the past seven years.

He characterized the Superdome in such a way that it sounded like a gladiator arena. Godwin described it as the most daunting setting in the NFL, which aided him and his teammates in getting ready for the game.

When you go into that stadium, you know what you’re getting into. Those fans — they have that stadium rocking. There are no windows. It’s like they go in and they lock the doors behind you, and it’s just like you and your guys going to battle.

The Superdome has been the subject of much debate throughout the years. Never before has a player stated what makes it so unique in such a way. Godwin put everything into perspective.

New Orleans leads the all-time series versus Tampa Bay 39-24. However, the Buccaneers won both regular-season encounters last year.

The rivalry between these two teams is long and sour. There is undeniable affection between these two franchises and their fan bases. For the first time since 2007, the Buccaneers swept the Saints last season. However, New Orleans has a significant advantage with 39 victories to 24 defeats, including seven of the previous ten games.
