According to prosecutors, Winfrey, 22, grabbed a lady by the hand and dragged her, causing “bodily injury,” according to FOX 26’s reporting of Harris County court documents. He is now being charged with a misdemeanour assault.

It happened on Monday night about 7 o’clock, and witnesses claim that they had to step in to stop the fight. According to TMZ, the unnamed lady reported that Winfrey had previously abused her in a different incident. According to the story, the incident started over a dispute about a dog and the keys to a rental automobile.

An ESPN reporter was informed by a Brown’s representative that the organisation is “aware of the situation and gathering more information.”

The Browns issued a statement saying they were aware of the incident and were keeping an eye on Perrion Winfrey’s situation, according to TMZ Sports. Next Monday, the 22-year-old footballer is scheduled for a hearing.

In the fourth round (with selection No. 108) of the 2022 NFL Draft, the Browns selected Winfrey.

Prior to the rookie receiving a one-game ban in Week 2 of the season, doubts about Winfrey’s character surfaced. The reasons behind Winfrey’s suspension were kept a secret by the Browns, who referred to it as a disciplinary action.

Winfrey didn’t exactly shine for the Browns. He supported DT Jordan Elliott last season, appearing in 13 games but not starting a single one. In his first season, Winfrey recorded 22 tackles and a half-sack.
