Brooklyn Nets’ Kevin Durant is Hyped Up as His Alma Mater Texas Longhorns Upset No. 2 Gonzaga Bulldogs
The No. 11 Texas Longhorns humiliated the No. 2 Gonzaga Bulldogs in Austin, Texas, on Wednesday night, 94-74, giving Brooklyn Nets star Kevin Durant cause for celebration. On Wednesday night, Hunter led a 3-point shooting barrage and helped No. 11 Texas defeat No. 2 Gonzaga by a score of 93-74. Hunter finished the game with 26 points.
It was a high-profile game for the Longhorns’ new stadium as well as a chance for Texas head coach Chris Beard to get a significant signature victory to begin his second season in charge. And after a spirited contest, the Longhorns would triumph, defeating the Bulldogs 93-74 and improving to 3-0 on the year.
Given that they not only defeated Gonzaga but also completely destroyed Mark Few’s squads, it is reasonable to conclude that the Longhorns did an excellent job at that.
